David Q. Zhang

David Q. Zhang is a Partner of The Martec Group China based in the Shanghai office. He leads research practice in specialty chemicals & engineered materials, oils & energy and advanced technology & services. Mr. Zhang is the main interface with client communication and has been in charge of quality control work required throughout client assignments. In addition to his extensive industry/business network, Mr. Zhang brings an excellent background from his prior professional tenures with Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Eastman Chemical Company, and Polynaisse Resources Chemicals in China, Hong Kong, Switzerland and the United States. He is a valuable resource in Greater China and the Southeast Asian theatre for Martec’s rapid business expansion in the Asia Pacific Region.

Mr. Zhang holds his MBA in Corporate Strategy & International Business from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He received his undergraduate degree in Polymer Science & Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and later graduated from Kansas State University with a MS in Physical Organic Chemistry. Mr. Zhang is married with two children and currently living in Shanghai.
